Tiger .60

RE: Tiger .60
Thanks. The cowl is from a Swallow Ex90. I had to bash it to get it to fit. Not many fuses are flat on top like the Tiger. I tried to buy one made for the Tiger, but couldn't find any. I changed my enigne in my Swallow and so oredered a new cowl for it and used the old one for the tiger.
Its a shame that tigers dont look a little better. They sure fly great.

I have a idea for thrust plates. I work at a ski shop and we have lots of ski binding shims.
.5*
1.0*
1.5*
They are specially made to dampen vibrations. This will be the frist plane Ive tried them on. I'm sure it will work, just thought I'd share. They are made by Marker Ski Bindings. Most any ski shop would have them. Probably give them away as they are obsolete now.

RE: Tiger .60
Just excited and thought I'd share....
The other day I ordered the power plant for my Tiger. I have choosen a Super Tigre g-90. At $129 it seems like a deal. This will be the 3rd wet plane in my quiver, and the 4th wet plane I've built. Engines for me are tough to decide over, as I havent seen really anything other then OS and TT. I'm hoping my decision works out. The reason for the 90 is, same crank case as 60, and I'm at 9200".
Ok, heres the real toy....
I also ordered a 7cap. Im very excited to get my hands on a radio w/ expo rates. My 6xa has been my glider radio and its such a pain to program I havnt added any wet planes to the memory. OK maybe Im lazy. Anyway I am really stoked about having a 10 memory radio for wet flight! Time to plan the next KIT! I think a scale plane is next. Maybe a war bird.
Ideas?

Breathe? Who needs to breathe?
Actually that is a serious thing, my father-in-law cant really even come up here any more. Last time he was here he got sent to Denver by Vail Medical. Most of my glider flights are around the 12500" area. BIG winds at those altitudes.
My order from tower arrived today. Tower has REALLY improved there way of taking and shipping orders since my last try. The radio looks great. Engine looks great, muffler looks like poop. I have'nt decided if I want to get a Pitts style and build a cowl yet. I might have to because of this can like muffler.

She's looking good, what colors you gonna use? I'm in the middle of one myself, just got the wings joined last night. This is my first build, and it's been so much fun, but not as fun as flying it will be.

Getting closer..... Have a roll of metallic charcol to add to the trim package. Ive really enjoyed this kit. If this plane fly's the way I expect, I'll have a tiger in my stable always.
