Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers still KITTING any kind of Stick? I'd like to build my own but don't want to go throught the extra trouble of scratch building. I have both a .91 4 stroker and a new .52 2 stroker looking for homes, so either 40 or 60 sized would be fine. Thanks!

From: gone,
There is a local shop kitting the "Perfection." Its essentially a .60 size Stick with a few upgrades in design. The tailplanes are a bit different shaped from the classic Stick (no oval fin/rudder)
contact [email protected] He owns The Waco Hobby Stop, Waco, TX. He also is part owner (I think he has majority interest) of the company that kits the Perfection.
WONDERFUL model
has the option of balsa rib structured wings... or foam cores.

Thanks Fred. I sent an email off to your friend in Texas. I'll post any information I gather here.
Luke, thanks for looking but the stick in Tower is not what I'm lookin for - a little small. Actually if I can't find anything I might just take the plunge and order the new 40 size stick ARF offered over at Lanier. Nice deal, but given a choice I'd rather build. That's what winter is for, he he.

The Perfection is very popular around here. Huge airplane... flies nice with any .61 2-stroke and I've seen 1.20 4-strokes on them. One local clubmember did one in Coca Cola advertising format... he could do accelerating vertical torque rolls with it making it look like a flying billboard. (I forgot what engine he used... I think just a .91 4-stroke)

Frank's Hobby Shop in Phoenix sells a laser cut stick which is, I think, a copy of the old original Jensen Ugly Stick. It is 60 size, but the modern 46 two cycles would fly it. I have seen it framed up and it looks great to me. Price is around $100 I believe. I don't have his exact address, but the phone is (602)992-3495. And I assume he can sell one mail order. I get tempted to re-live my earlier days and build one myself!

The Midwest Aerosport series has been out of production for quite some time.

How about a Midwest Aero Sport? It's an updated Stick. I have all three sized kits available.

SigFan, check out the Long Johns [link=http://www.cheaplanes.com/LongJohns.htm]here[/link], I've heard a lot of good things about them (although I've never built one myself).

The Long Johns are essentially... clipped wing Prefections. Though the Long John I believe comes in both 40 and 60 size... Prefection is just one size. (the Long John kit is also made fairly close to here I believe)

Well don't keep us in suspense, how much? I would be interested in one of the .20 sized kits if it is a new in the box kit.

Hey all,
I didn't know so many stick kits were still available. I think I'm going to go with the Doghouse Extreme, it's the best looking stick I've ever seen. Should be a good match for my TT .91 4 stroker. Thanks for all your replies!
