Default Looking for a kit of a Long -Ez

TO all:

Does anyone have any idea where I can find a Long-Ez kit. I am not sure if they are being produced any longer. I did find one kit for sale but some other person beat me to it.

The search links I have followed have led me to dead ends so I am looking for input from everyone.

Thanks
Mark

Your stuck watching for a St Croix kit on ebay or in the for sale forums here. They tend to sell for about $225 normally. I am just finishing a scratch built one that I copied from my old ST Croix kit. Sweet planes. Fusco started to produce them again, but it was a fiasco. Bummer really. It flies really nice.

The last two I sold went for right around $225 shipped if that helps. They were both St Croix kits and it has been about a year.

Hello, after a long hiatus. I have not been here on this forum for awhile. Especially the FUSCO FIASCO part. I have stayed away for now out of anger, not from here, just about his handling of the mess. I have certainly learned a very good lesson on how not to run a business. As have we all here. If you have not read the whole incident on Mike James site please do. It is over though thank goodness.

Yes, the kits are still being produced. Just on a very small amount at a time for now. The rights were sold by that other wise known as FIASCO guy. Smartest thing he ever did so far. Just can't say his name without getting sick. I am still helping out as a distributor and now all involved actually buy these kits. So when you order from a distributor they are on hand. This is not meant to be a sales pitch at all to anyone at RCUniverse. Just as Mike James I am just letting all be aware that the kits Long EZE and the Quickie are around and still being manufactured. This is all I will bring up about it here on this forum so I do not go against any Forum policy here. Please just e-mail me for any questions. [email protected]

I too, as many of you, have been taken for thousands too. I can't get my money back from my Credit Card company unfortunately.
That will not deter me though from this line of aircraft.

If this post goes against RCU policy please remove it.

Thank you,
Wade McBeth

I am one of the final fortunate owners of a Fiasco Kit. Let me say this.... Thank you Wade for not giving up on me all this time!!!

Anyone interested in buying these "New" kits will not be disappointed... Wade and Cloudninerc.com are indeed my savior for this project. Should be up in the air in a few weeks. Will be posting pictures of the project soon.

The Long Eze is definitely an impressive airplane, and beautifully done...

Nice Toto-Sal. Mine is in almost the same spot. I have to finish the canard, canopy and paint. My first one was a blast in the air. Make sure you have good cooling to the engine. It is hard to keep cool. I kept over heating the first and landing dead stik, which was very easy and not bad, but one landed way short of the runway and it ended up in the center of a 55 gallon drum laying in the field. What are the odds of center puching that. Couldn't have done it if I had wanted to.

Sal,

Looks great there, nice work. Thanks for posting the pics for us to check out. I really felt for you back when you got the kit and were missing the parts, etc. REALLY glad to hear that Wade came thru for you, that is pretty darn nice of him to finalize that deal in the midst of all that went on. Keep us posted with your progress!

I've been vacant from the hobby for the better part of the last six months, job change and house for sale has me working on all the wrong things from a hobby point of view. So far I have most of the wing assembly complete and everything has been on hold since that was done. Hopefully in a month or so I can pick up the work again.

Take Care,
TX-Deck

I'm finally getting around to finishing up my St Croix Long-Eze after having it be delayed by numerous other projects.

Did your center, mid strake, and outer wing cores match up reasonably well? I'm just now joining them together and it almost seems like the airfoils are all off. I realize the airfoil transforms from the root to the tip, but, Holy Cow!

I haven't checked my Fusco kit to see if it has the same inconsistencies.

Glad I could revive this thread...LOL

These new kits of the Long EZE have a much better consistency with the airfoil.
I'm not biased . Just the one who is now cutting them for Boxer R/C Models who now owns the St. Croix
kits. All wings are now cut by CNC foam cutting.

I hope your build goes well Don, especially the UGH!! Fusco [:'(] kit.

Here is some pictures of the kits from my site. Notice the section of the wing that has the wing spars and wing hold down
blocks. That part has been modofied to better support the spar and hold down blocks.

nmnative,

Is that picture in the Gallery of the "new" Boxer LongEze? Glad to see the glass work appears 1000% better than the flimsy Fusco crap. And LASER CUT wood! (or so it appears.) I went to the distributor page for Alaska and Pogo Air doesn't have it listed, although Aerocore in the mountain region has it listed on their website.

I don't know why Boxer just doesn't sell direct...this exclusive distributorship thing looks Fusco-esqe to me.

If you are a distributor (Cloud Nine), do you have the newer CNC Long-eze in stock? I'll buy from you.

Don

Hattend(Don),

Yes that is the Boxer Long EZE.

Boxer R/C Models aka Mike, wanted to keep on anyone who was still interested. A few of us
stayed and a couple of us are helping to keep these models going. Yes, the fiberglass is awesome.
The wood is laser cut too. No way is this tied to [:'(] Fusco we own our own sites and fix them how we want them, no Fusco clone type sites.

I manufacture the CNC cut foam wings for Mike. Just sent you a PM too.

Oh yes I do know what Fusco looks like by the way. I meet him last year during the memorial day weekend.
What a talker(BS'er).

That was before the poop hit the fan, right? I know he is a great BSer, he called me weekly to assure me the Berkut and King Air were being shipped "tomorrow" or "one more week". I was lucky, my credit card people refunded my $2500. Whew.

You can understand my being leery, I hope.

Sent you a PM as well.

I can more than understand anyone being leary. I would never have a prepayment before the actual kit is ready to go.
I do have a few designs that I am working out myself. I will be posting pictures of my progress of them as I get them going as well. Just as Mike James is doing.

If anybody wants a really nice LongEze kit, contact Wade at cloudninerc.com He ships fast and I highly recommmend his business.

I just got one of the Boxer R/C LongEze kits and the glass work is outstanding! plus it's laser cut wood. This is much better than the St Croix model and lightyears ahead of the crappy glass parts that Fusco was putting out.

Thanks Wade!

Don,

Thank you for the kind words.

Yes, I do agree that the new manufacturer(Boxer R/C Models) has done a very good job with this kit.
