I have seen many Ultra Sports flying and I have one myself and I doubt you need flaps or flaperons. If yu decide to put in some flaperons, you may want to mix in a bit of elevator to compensate.

Actually the local hobby shop owner recommended using separate channels for the aileron servos anyway, so that if desired some differential could be mixed in. For this reason alone (increased programming flexibility) I'll set mine up with each aileron controlled by a single channel. I'll see how it flies, and if I feel the need later, I may experiment with flaperons. I agree that separate flaps are probably better than full-span flaperons, since yaw coupling and the risk of tip stalling accompany any full span flaperon setup. But, I'm not so adventurous as some of the other members on this site - there's one fellow at least who has shortened his ailerons, and converted the inner portion to flaps.
