I've built a couple of kits but don't fly. My sons flies and he told me this site might help me with my problem. I have built the first wing and feel that the two wooden struts between the wings are loose enough to cause problems in flight. Should these struts be modified to fit tighter in the wings? My sons thinks maybe the wings will flutter in flight. Is this a legitimate concern? Thanks in advance for your help.

Not really, those struts are designed to just slide into place. The wings are thick enough not to flutter, and those struts are simply there to keep the top wing level.
So I wouldn't worry about it. That is a terrific plane and a great flier!

Do you mean that the struts are loose between the ribs that sandwhich them in your lower wing? If so, don't worry about it yet. The covering will likely add enough thickness to snug them up. If not you can put a couple layers of clear packing tape om them until they're tight enough.

OK. I'll wait and see how everything fits after I finish. If there's a problem at that point, I will deal with it then. Thanks a lot for your help. My son says you have helped him a lot over the last couple of years, MinnFlyer. Thanks.
