I'm looking for engine recommendations for the Top Flight Cessna 182 kit. After reading up on the kit I noticed that there is actually a pretty wide range of engine sizes that the plans recommend. I'm looking for some input from those of you out there that already have this plane flying. I plan on trying to build to scale as much as possible.
I normally completely plan out a plane/engine combination before I even buy the kit. And in fact, I've seen this kit in catalogs, but it really never interested me. But last week I came across a flier who was getting out of the hobby. He had 2 copies of this kit (I think he screwed some parts up and just bought another kit to get the messed up parts) with one plane about 30%-40% completed. After looking over the plans, instructions, partially built fuselage I decided that it would be fun to finish it out to scale and fly this plane.
I'm looking for an engine that will be good for this plane. I don't want and engine that will pull !QUOT!unlimited vertical!QUOT! (no cessna torque rolls!!!!!), but not underpowered to where it struggles in the air. My thoughts are leaning toward an OS 91 Surpass II 4 stroke, but will consider others if anybody has experience with this plane.
thanks in advance for any help here.

Hi RCKen,
This has been discussed a lot recently. Do a search on Cessna or Top Flite Cessna and you will get your answer. IMO with Lawton's elevation at only 1,150 feet your OS.91 should be plenty of power.
