You can't go wrong with a Goldberg TIger II. Many others will also recommend a Sig 4*40/60 as well.

Woops - should have read the whole post. I'm considering the SSE as a 3rd pland / 2nd kit as well.

Why the double post? You have another exactly the same on here.

I didn't intentionally double post. I tried to edit my first one after I realized he was limiting his choices.
My sincerest appologies.

Kurt both kits are good kits. Both fly well. I would however reccomend the Somethin Extra. Simply because it is a SIG kit and I have one. It is designed with a low time builder in mind. The instructions and plans are very well thought out. There is nothing wrong with the GP kit. I just feel for a first kit the SE is just more beginner freindly. Good luck with either one. BTW you can use the gear from your trainer in the SE. I would not reccomend it for the GP kit. Just another point to consider.

While the SE is a great building kit, so is the GP Extra

Mike have you built a GP 300 extra. Why would think the SE would not be a good kit for a first build

I would second the Sig SE. I've built numerous GP kits (although not the Extra). they are great but, I believe the SE would be a better first build kit. it is simple to build.

Having the 2 piece wing also (in my opinion) makes it easier to cover.

Please don't misunderstand. I didn't say the SE wasn't a good build, on the contrary, it is an excellent build. I was just saying that the GP extra is not a difficult build.
