great planes ultimate 40
hi all i am looking at the great planes ultimate i have a 50sx will i be happy with this power plant
or does it need more i also have a 61fx but im thinking the extra weight of it will dull performance and handling any oppinions? or do i just go and buy a saito 82a at the same weight as the 50sx.thanks.

I have a .61FX in mine and the performance is anything but dull. This airframe is really overdone. I took care when I was building mine to remove excess material in the fuselage to offset the added engine weight. I also located my battery below the stab prior to covering so my plane would balance without adding weight.
I really love this plane and am just beginning to explore its possibilities. There's nothing like flying low over the field and then pulling up and going up up up until the plane is just a dot in the sky. You can also make BIG round loops and immelmans. The .61 is the way to go. It also sounds cool with a Brisson pitts style muffler.
