I just bought a used Aircore 40 from a friend. He did not have the manual, and it needs some work. Can anyone tell me what typ of glue to use, the trailing edge of the wing came apart. Also how does the tray that the engine and servos mount on stay in the plane. Meaning the tray slides into the fuse on rails. is it glued in or rubberbanded? Is there a website that has pics of construction

Thanks .

I believe you use contact cement if memory serves correctly. Just be sure and use it as the instructions state; apply a layer of glue to both surfaces to be glued and let dry. Then stick together very carefully. It will be difficult to pull apart if you don't do it correctly the first time.

There should be a couple of rails that the motor/radio tray slides in. If I recall correctly, you sink one screw through each rail in the front (in the engine compartment) and rear (normal radio compartment) of each side of the motor/radio tray.

Not a very precise method, but it's not a very precise airplane. Sure does bounce though!

Contact cement is the proper glue to use, as Daren said coat both sides and let dry before assembly.
The power cartridge is also used to balance the plane. Slide it back or front to balance the plane then use screws to hold it in place.
U. S. Aircore does have a web site. www.usaircore.com I did try to use it today, some parts worked some didn't I don't know why. Maybe they will later.
The balance point is directly under the wing spar.

Do not install a weak 40 engine in this trainer as it is heavy for its size, at least a .46 or larger

The Aircore is a heavy trainer, mine weighs a little over 6 pounds. I use a Thunder Tiger GP42 on it and it has enough power. I did go to 3 inch wheels for better take offs on grass.

I would also agree about the larger engine, mine has a OS-46 installed and it works really good. A OS-40 would most likely work but, I think you would have a problem in tail grass.
