Default New Top Flight Piper Arrow II

Just saw the web page for the new Piper Arrow II. $250.00. 80" WS
Airframe features CAD-designed wood parts for perfect first-time fits and an ABS cowl, tail cone and clear canopy for no-shape ease.

Balsa sheeting on the fuselage, wings and tail help reproduce the original's true contours and form a perfect surface for covering.

Includes formed aluminum landing gear and a generous hardware package.

Easy to "detail out" with Top Flite's optional Cockpit Kit or Robart's custom-made pneumatic retracts.

Smooth and stable, with a full-flying stabilizer for powerful elevator control and externally mounted servos for aileron and flap surfaces.
We have all been talking about no new kits, well here's one! I think the price is a little steep but we will see if Santa can bring me one.

Sorry, no. The Top Flite Piper Cherokee Arrow is a completely different airplane. Shares no common parts with the Top Flite Beechcraft Bonanza (except maybe some mounting hardware/control hardware, etc.). It uses similar construction methods, but it's a completely-new model from the ground up.

Oh Boy! I can't wait to see one! Would one of you who've ordered this kit do use a favor and start a build-along thread?

Do you guys think with a Magnum .91 2 stroke, Bission muffler and Hitec 5625 servos I could keep the price to around $1500.00? I know what I'm going to be doing tonight - playing with a spreadsheet. I really want one but the budget is limited. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John

Don't have an exact date, but the kits are supposed to be delivered in the next few weeks or so.

anyone putting anything 'special' on their kit - like lights, retracts, pilot figures, etc.? If so, what are you using (mfg.) and part number...

Cockpit kit is a bunch of plastic - shouldn't add but an ounce max!

I wonder how this would be with a RCS 140 gasser in it? I know there is room for the engine but is the structure heavey enough to support the added weight up front? Suppose weight would be required in tail to achieve proper CG?

Interesting concept.......I believe the front is strong enough, or if not, can be made strong enough!

That engine would be considered to be much too large. The largest engine it's designed to accept is a .91 two-stroke.
