Anthony, I e-mailed him via RCU. No answer. If you know his full name PM it to me. I have an Aunt with the phone company, maybe she can get it.

I just sent an E-Mail to the president of Vincent's flying club looking for info on his well being.  I found the name of Vincent's flying club on his RCU profile - Southern New Hampshire Flying Eagles.<div>

Dan,

Nice plane and video, and nice recovery on the deadstick. What colors were your shorts after the engine died? I'm getting anxious to get back to Florida in October for the winter.

Still nothing on Vincent.

What the ? How about a video of your's Dan?
Thank's Chuck. I was half expecting it to stall, it was running very rich. Did not know if the intake hole's were enough. They were.

Great vid Dan and nice landed..I should practice more mine!
I would ask if some of you guys have the Os ft160 Gemini? I have this engine on my cub, I use fuel with 20 oil 20 nitro, actually with a 18x8 prop but icant get more than 7500 from the engine.. I think is too low!I would try a 17x8.. Any idea?
Sorry for my bad English..

David,
I know there are several guys flying their 1/5 Waco's with this engine. Ask the question in the Antique forum, look for the Waco thread.
I personally would try lowering the pitch.
Later!!

i have that engine in mine! love it! gotta be honest that i rarely use more than 3/4 throttle on it so i can't even remember the RPM or prop i am swinging. i will test it out and let you know. i use a Synthetic 4stroke 15% fuel.

SHEESH! That's a relief! Must we wait till he gets back before knowing what happened on the maiden flight?

I am sorry to have been away from this thread for as long as I have. One's life can change in the blink of an eye and that's what happened to me. Let's just sayI can build on thekitchen table if I want to.....Thanks to all that have asked about me and my Cub. Ironically just before the SHTF I did try to maiden my cub but I did have some problems. One of them being that even though I did balance the plane I forgot to balance it laterally. On takeoff it dipped its wing to the left just as it got into the air. It was only a couple of feet high and the engine (DLE20) didn't have the power to counter. It landed on its wing tip and of coursethe tip broke. Could have been worse. My pride was hurt more than anything. When I got it home I confirmed that it was out of balance. I will fix it but the engine is more of a problem for me than the wing tip. I will be installing a larger engine in the future. Right now I can't even stomach to see my Cub with all that has happened.

I just today returned to my workshop after several weeks andI am findingcomfort in it. I have started building my Ryan. This build should prove to be very challenging to say the least. I have decided that my DLE20will find a new home inthis plane. SDP, I am sorry to learn about your Cub. I know how much time and effort you have put into it. Rebuilding it is the right thing to do. Good luck with it. I have a lot of catching up to do in all the threads, but for now I'm heading to the workshop there's some catching up to do in thereas well.......

Glad to have you back VJ!  You got me kind of worried.  Sorry that kind of stuff had to happen to such a nice guy!

Anyway, I'm sorry to here about the DLE20 as well!  Darn!  Now what am I going to do?  Hmmm...  You know, I'm going to have to do something in the next year or so, before I take mine out for its maiden.

Take care &amp; hang in there!
David
