Great Planes Slow Poke Sport
I just bought the Great Planes Slow Poke Sport for my second kit. Any reviews, good or bad? Seems like a good build for a second attempt.

RE: Great Planes Slow Poke Sport
jrg,
I've got a Slow Poke 40 and all I can say is that it's a total blast to fly. The only advice I can give you is to build the tail as light as you can. When I started building mine I read here on RCU that people were having to add anywhere up to 12 oz of weight in the nose to balance. I built mine with an OS 52 Surpass 4 stroke, a aluminum spinner, and took as much weight out of the tail as I could and I only needed 2 oz of weight in the nose to balance it. When it comes time to fly I dialed in 35% of aileron-rudder mix and it's a lot easier to turn it now. Other than that this plane is great. At full throttle I can take of in 4'-5', or take off and circle the field at 1/3 throttle. Congrats, you'll have a blast with this plane

Ken,
Thanks for the reply. Your plane looks great. That was a great covering job you did. I will keep that engine in mind for mine.
