The stuff from Tower is 5 ply. The lite ply is usually 3 ply. The 5 ply will work fine.

Lite ply is end grain junk wood between two sheets of Poplar. For gear or engine mounting, I'd replace it with regular (read 'real') plywood.

I second SST's recommendation. Go down to your LHS and pick up a piece of aircraft ply. Midwest supplies various sizes. It doesn't cost too much and it is far superior to what comes with kits.

I have to agree. Go some real ply at the hobby shop. Good Luck, Dave

Ditto, it doesn't matter what THEY use - Use the good stuff.

Note: GP uses the good stuff too - where it counts, like firewalls, LG and wing hold-down Blocks etc.

Lite ply is only used in less stressful areas.
