You can check out my thread on my Sig 1/4 scale C/W Cub, I have installed the open door mod and scale Struts. You can get all the info you need for these mods at Cubman's website, here is the link http://www.geocities.com/cubmanky/main.html
I bought Robart 1/4 scale Cub gear for my cub and they are very nice. They are a little on the pricey side at $140 but I think they are worth it.
The Sig Cub builds well you just have to take your time and you will be rewarded with an awesome airplane. I have around 275 hours into my Cub at this point. Probably another 50 to go with adding all the finishing details ie: instruments, seats, control sticks, etc: .
