Well after 6 months of building on this plane I finally finished it. The kit is a very good kit but not what i would concider a beginners kit. The plane has a Moki 1.35 swinging a APC 17-8 at 8650 rpms. The plane weighs in at 11.5 pounds and is covered in Ultra coat.
I spent quite a while searching on the internet for pic of this plane but only found one. The covering schem is copied after a full size Japanese pitts.
The plane flies very well no bad habits and has very little coupling in knife edge.
I'm flying this with a Futaba 8uaf

The plane balanced perfect, The Moki is just right, has great vertical.
I replaced the bottom stringers with spruce ones and fiberglass taped the top wing joints. you can see more at
