Building one of these for a friend for a profile yak. Its missing the manual, can it be build from the plans. Anything to watch for, or do different from the plans. Anybody sell a set of templates for the parts, wouldn't mind building one for myself later.

All I can tell ya is lighten it any way possible. I built one and it seemed to be awful heavy, with a high wing loading. It tends to snap easily, too. Don't under-power it.

It's got a real bad habit of snapping - high or low speed - with too much elevator....when they first came out a bunch of us got them and all were the same. We tied playing with CG, rudder area, etc to no avail.....eventually we all crashed them due to the snap habit ! My guess is the fuse is too short and not enough tail moment. I think that's why they are off the market now. I always liked the way they look, but.....

Just what I said, fisher. I believe the snapping is due to the excessive elevator area, coupled with a high wing loading and a bad airfoil. The airfoil just won't take large AOAs without stalling.

The only way I was able to make it less prone to snapping was to reduce the elevator travel to the point it was not really a "fun-fly" airplane......ironic.
