Has anyone built one of Andy Lennon's planes?
I know they are not what you call "easy build". But I just want to know if anyone has attempted or has completed any of his planes.
Thanx

I was absolutely facinated by the high wing version when it first appeared in RCM. That was exactly what I had been looking for etc.
Then I studied the plans. First the wing and then the fuselage etc. I just thought there was a lot of unnecessary shaped balsa. I moved along to something simple but with a lot of wing area.
I person that can build for many hours and not get disinterested would enjoy building the plane. That's just not me.
Enjoy,
Jim

One lf the guys in the first club I belonged to, built one of his designs. High wing, fowler flaps, t tail. I want to say it was the Swallow, but I may be wrong.
Anyway, I have never seen a STOL aircraft fly like that one did. Absolutely amazing, the things it could do. I believe it was powered by a Ball Bearing .46.
I'd say it was one of the top ten coolest and best flyig planes I have ever seen.

I used his slotted flap setup on a Unionville Otter (6' span). They worked very well on that plane, but I haven't built one of his designs. His book on aircraft design is very interesting with lots of neat things that could be incorporated into most designs or kits.
Cheers!
