From: cincinnati, OH,
I just finished my first kitbash project. I built a GP PT-60 fuse and modified it to fit the wing from a GP Super Sportster 90/120. What I've now got is a trainer fuse with enlarged elevator and rudder and a fat symmetrical wing with barn door ailerons and flaps. Otherwise, it's your basic high wing trainer. All up weight is 12lb. I have installed a Magnum 91 four stroke with a 14x6 prop. My concern is that the Magnum may not be enough engine for this bird. I have a 1.20 Saito on hand from a previous project that I could install with a few more modifications. Which engine do you think is more appropriate?

That does seem like a good bit of weight for that plane, with that wing configuration. All I can say is to try it and see how it flies, and if you need the 1.20 stick it in there.
