Here is a pic so far of my 1/4 scale Sig J3 cub. It is going slow due to my dragging of my rear. Anyway. It is going together good. I will try to post pics as I go. They wont be as good as cubnut or others but good enough I guess. I am trying to figure out what to use for hinges for the door.

Your Plane is looking good,
I used 1/8" Robart hinges cut down for the door. They work very nice. I also used rare earth magnets purchased at RadioShack to keep the door closed.
Later!!

Anthony, that's a great idea with the magnets!
You could also use them to hold open the top window to the bottom of the wing.
There was no factory latch or hold for this on the original.
There have been plenty of field mods to accomplish this.
Some pretty imaginative some pretty crude.
How do I know?
That's my full size J-3 in my avitar as it sits on loan in the EAA museum in Oshkosh!

Anthony, how do you suggest to make the 2 or 3 peice wing?

My Cub has the Clipped Wing and I made it one piece. I wish I could have made it 2 piece now, a real pita to transport.
Later!!!
