Default Epoxy finishing question

I am considering building a SIG Kougar jet-like plane. Since the wings and fuselage are both covered in balsa sheet I was thinking of trying my hand at GLASSING or some sort of EPOXY finish. Any opinion on this. What are the benefits and downfalls. Will it add too much weight. And what would be the process of applying such a finish. Can I just Epoxy the exterior or do I have to put glass cloth down first.

Thanks Chris

Both will add a bit of weight, but the glass covered airplane will be stronger (not that it means diddly squat if you play lawn dart )

Just do a search for "glassing" and you'll have more than enough information...

Cheers!
