Airbatic here,
I built their Stinson Reliant, SR-9. Where do I start to answer your question. If you have a few kits under your belt, you're ready for the Stinson. Plans and instructions matched. Wood smelled fresh. Nothing broken or missing.
One thing in peculiar of wing panel assembly kept speaking 'fit parts, fit parts, fit parts', and no mention to apply glue. And at the end of the section they say, 'now get out the CA glue.' I thought my goodness, they think CA glue is OK? Not me wood glue and expoxy and I glue as I go.
Also stated 'the struts are non-fuctional' so I left mine off. I actually like my Stinson without the struts
Have fun.

I want to get the Gold Edition Piper Arrow II. I think it would be a pretty straight forward build for an intermediate builder, not a beginner. I really like it's looks and compared to the full scale Arrow I can't see any real noticable differences.

I've just finished building the TF Spitfire. I had built a lot of plastic kits and a couple of rubber powered Guillows kits in my youth. The TF was the first RC kit I started with, and the second kit I finished (I built a sig 4* during the TF build). The instructions are clear and I am happy with the outcome. They are good building kits. My next project is also a Top Flite Kit (P-51B), but, after that, I'll probably not do another. The reason is two fold. 1, I already have a collection of other kits, and second, I want to work in larger scales which will allow for better detailing.

Top flight makes a great kit for the average builder to do a great job. the instructions are clear and step by step a new builder that doesn't mind taking there time can end up with a nice looking plane, I also built the spitfire after not having done much building in a long time pretty pleased with the model I am now on to a TF P-47 almost done with the sheeted fuse after a couple of weeks of building just stick to the steps, the models come together nicely. hey Scott maidened your spit yet ? haven't taken mine out yet still a little wobbly knee and waiting for low wind day.

I'm building the Top Flite Piper Arrow. Pretty straight forward. 1st kit I've built in 30 years. Going together fairly well. I've been very pleased so far.

JCOKEEFE.
Yup I remeber the landing gear arrangement. I reworked it with one plywood piece vice two. And I used a metal strip to join the aluminum pieces. Ain't no slop now.
