Box of junk?

I was cleaning out a closet in the back of my model room. As I got to the back, I was pulling out the boxes from old kits that I've built. I often use them to store parts, plans and other junk. I reached in to get the box from my 17 year old Super Kaos 40, a plane I still enjoy flying, and the box was heavy. Man, there was lots of junk in this one.
Much to my surprise, when I opened it I found a complete Super Kaos 40 kit!!!!! I don't remember ever buying a backup but the recipt and credit card slip from 14 years ago don't lie.
I've often seen the box hiding back there through the years but thought it was just full of misc. junk. Oh man, What a gift to myself.

I guess bad memory sometime has benifits. My latest bad memory caused a credit card I thought to be closed out to carry a balance of over $30 to go unpaid till the bill collector called.

Man, that's almost like getting christmas early!!!!! I had the same thing happen not too long ago, but it was with an engine. Going through where I keep my empty engine boxes and found one with a brand new engine in it that I had forgotten about!!!

I have heard that when you get old, the first thing to go is your mind. I forget what the second one is.
then it's okay. Now if I could only find that pool with those alien Cocoons.

If they have closets that teleport, or have a worm hole..couldn't they have closets that cut kits from bulk wood, or build them? Maybe his bulk wood EVOLVED into a kit ?

About two months ago, I was going to order an engine for a project, happened to find a new one sitting under my work table with the other boxes crammed under there. Still had to order other stuff though, didn't want my credit card to get dusty.

I still have many old kits, FF, rubber, CL and mostly RC along with both used and new engines, from .049 to 4.2 gas burners, that I cannot live long enough to ever use. I have managed over the past several years to get rid of some of them. Included are old time ignition engines such as Bantam .19, NIB Super Cyclones, and NIB Anderson Spitfires.
Now here is a problem slightly different than most stated here. Each time I go into the barn to start placing items on eBay, I simply fall in love all over again.
I have to keep this one, this one this one... this one..... this one.....this one....... and on and on. I may need help, but I ain't gonna' get it! [>:] They're MINE, ALL MINE! I tell you they're all mine!!!!

i have a question... how do you guys keep your wives/girlfriends from knowing that you bought an entire kit, engine, or anything else that isnt exactly a "small purchase". I need to take notes!
right now i dont even have a plane to fly, and she doesnt want me buying anything r/c related until after christmas. I dont think that i can handle that! i need to fuel my addiction! or build a new one first!
.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
