well, my gf really doesnt like my choice of hobby all that much, so i think the devil will buy a winter jacket b4 she "reminds" me to buy something, or even suggests that i go flying.
as far as a buddy that i can get stuff shipped to....I dont really have anyone i can do that with....I'm a bit of a loner.....JK, i just moved to Alberta, and most all my friends are back home or in school, so that option is kaput

if I haven't bought anything in awhile she'll usually bring it up and tell me to go order something from Tower!!!!

Have you checked and made sure she is actually a female? If she is female, then could you send me a DNA sample from her? Maybe there is a way to implant that "go buy something from tower" gene into my wife.

Its been my experience that a new Plane is always worth a few nights on the couch. As long as you don't have little kids that are going hungry, and the Bill collectors are not knocking down your door, then my advice would be to live a little. Modeling is a good clean hobby, and is full of great people to surround yourself with. Ease your Girlfriends uneasy mind by letting her know you will still be spending time with her, but that you would also like to devote some time to a good clean hobby that is good clean fun, and also welcome her to join you anytime she would like. It is not selfish to do things that make yourself happy as long as it is something that does not disrespect your girl. I also believe it is good to set some ground rules with a Girlfriend so they know what to expect should they become your wife someday, and if they can't except any of your ground rules then you should know what to expect in the future as well.

I actually had a student once that took family food budget money to get into flying. He was a young soldier that had 2 small kids. Myself and 2 of my buddies pitched in and gave his wife enough money to go grocery shopping, and then I told him he needed to find another instructor.

Yoiks!

I headed off to the sporting good store with intent to buy a gun with my first while married check and THE ADMIRAL left just enough of my torso to return to work . . . without the gun.

I left a can of worms in the trunk of my '71 Dodge Demon but it didn't take me 14 years to find them. A Kaos would have been better.
