I'm framing up the fuselage on my Top Flite Cessna 182 and need some help before I get too far ahead of myself. At what point should the interior kit be installed? I'm afraid of getting the thing all framed up and then not being able to get the interior in the plane.
I haven't been able to find any help in the manuals, so any help/suggestions I could get would be a big help.
Thanks,

I am waiting to finsish the interior kit before i put the window frames and wing mount on. Doesn't seem like there would be enough room to fit it in after that part is framed up.

mine is mostly finished and the interior kit seems like it will easily fit, even with the window frams up. As a matter of fact, i would not install it untill the window frames are up.

Go ahead and finish the framing. The interior kit is designed to go in as an afterthought, and I can tell you from experience that it will go in fairly easily. I made mine removable with the use of glued in ledges and velcro stuck in strategic locations. You do NOT want to install the interior as a permanent fixture.

I live in United Kingdom, I have just ordered my Top Flite Cessna from Tower Hobbies, complete with the Cockpit. I notice you have a Pilot that fits in nicely, can you tell me where you got the pilot from?
Thanks

He's a GI Joe cut off at the hip. His legs are just his pants stuffed with cotton. I can't remember the name of this one inparticular, but he came with a headset and mike. There are quite a few GI Joe's available here in the US, not sure about availability in the UK. I would think any 12" type of action figure or doll would work. Lots of guys use a Ken doll.

Thank you for your prompt reply, GI Joe cut off at the hip certainly gave me plenty of food for thoughts, I am sure I will be able to find something similar here in UK.
Once again many thanks for taking the time to reply much appreciated.

I almost have my 182 finished, I was going to put a interior kit in it, then decided against it. When you put it in it is a bear, and if you have to work on the radio or say batterys it would be hard to take out the interior and back in without damage, If you are going to put a interior kit in I would build doors on the bottom to reach components without having to take it out. And I would also put the interior kit in before I finished the complete build. I should sell my interior kit because I'm not going to put it in anyone interested?

If you read earlier post, the trick is to have the interior removable, see post [link=http:////www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=6686651]www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=6686651[/link]
