Several years ago Dubro made mechanical brakes which consisted of a spring wound around a hub that mounted on your wheel. The brake was activated by tightening the spring causing more friction on the hub. I have used these brakes before and always had good luck with them. Now the question: Does anyone know where I can find another set or two of these brakes? Is there an economical replacement?

Dubro to my knowledge doesn't make them anymore - the best bet to find them is either evil bay or one of those local hobby stores that has lots of old stuff. I found one at such a shop and plan on using it on my Global Cessna Skylane.
Wish I could find more; a few folks I know had considered building our own...
