Should be OK with std servos, but if you wish larger ones for the tail feathers, that would be ok, 2.
I'd just get a flight pack for the plane and dive in.
Rudder, elevator, throttle, aileron[s].....4-5 servos
FA[8D]

Eric, the plans say that you can use a standard sized, standard output servo in all 5 positions.

Sorry for the time lapse. I have been so busy. Over the holidays I finished the framing of the right wing. I plan on picking up the pace. I will start the left wing soon. I will post more pics soon. I enjoy reading all the posts.

If I understand your question correctly it has a cowl that you paint. I hope this helps. Here is a picture of the right wing. I have started the left wing over the weekend.

Eric, that finish is called "engine turning". It was believed that it relieved the stresses found in the skins of these planes caused when the skins were hammered into shape.
Three techniques are availalbe. One paint the cowling with one shade of aluminum colored paint and leave it, don't bother with the swirling.
Two, paint the cowling with a darkened shade of aluminum paint, let that dry thoroughly. Then paint over that with a lighter shade of aluminum, once that drys take a rubber eraser or a large buffing wheel on end, in a dremel tool and GENTLY swirl the two paints together.
Three, cover the cowling with aluminum tape from the auto hardware store, then rub the aluminum tape with the eraser in the dremel and replicate the swirls in the aluminum tape.

Thanks Major Tom. You just gave me a good idea to finish the cowl. I had thought I would just paint it and leave it. But since your input I may experiment on a scrap part and try putting swirls in the finish.

Hey Guys, This is my 1st post and I have had this thing boned up for a while now. I pulled it down a few days ago and thought Id finnish up this baby. It also is a 90 size balsa usa eindecker. My only problem is I lost the manual. I need to see if someone has the manual page to installing the cowl formers. I have to cut new ones out of stock and I am not sure if they are ply or balsa. Do you think someone could photo copy the page or pages around installing the cowl formers?
Thanks Steve

Here is a pic of the wings joined, but the pic didn't come out too bright. But anyway they are joined and now its time to do some sanding, filling, etc. Boy I hope I have it ready in a couple months. I've been feeling a bit under the weather recently [sm=52_52.gif]
