Default Tower Fun 51 trailing edge

I am building the Fun 51. The instructions are pretty good for the most part, but I don't understand how to attach the trailing edge piece to the ribs. The instructions say to center the trailing edge on the rib, but the rib is 3/8 and the trailing edge is much smaller. A little insight from someone that has built this kit will help me a bunch.

Thanks

Doug

I haven't built that kit specifically, but others I have built had a similar instruction. It was because there was to be strips of thin balsa glued later, to the top and bottom of the ribs that butt up against the trailing edge piece. Does your wing have a similar feature? If so, you want to center the trailing edge on the ribs so the balsa sheet can be attached on both the top and bottom of the wing, by leaving an even amount of the T.E. sticking above and below the rib ends.
I hope that makes sense. []

What you explained is what I am used to seeing, but in this case the trailing edge is smaller than the rib end. So when you sheet over the trailing edge and onto the ribs there is a 3/32 inch gap. I addressed the problem by substituting a different piece of stock that was the same size as the end of the rib. Once I do some shaping it should be fine. Thanks for the suggestion.
