Default Removable stab.?

I have a storage issue for my plane I am building. My basement gets damp and my detached grage has no temp or humidity control. I have a large enough closet for the wing and the fusalage as long as the stab. can be removed. I am builbing the SIG LT-40. any suggestions on how I could make the stab. removable or should I store the wing in the dry closet and the fuse. hanging from the basement rafters with the stab. glued in place?

Thanks,
Joe

Glue a plywood tab to the mounting area for the tail. Use four 2-56 bolts and washers down through the stab to hold the tail on.
You can unhook the clevises

A few years ago I built my LT-40 and made the elevator and rudder removable. I used 3 sex bolts made from aluminum. The sex bolt is a male/female unit about 1 1/4" long. I epoxied the female end into the rudder and made the rudder slightly thicker with thin plywood at the base to help support the bolts. The female nut section of the sex bolt protrudes from the base of the rudder about 3/8", allowing it to pass through holes drilled in the elevator. I put holes in the underside of the fuselage to unscrew the whole assembly. Sorry, no pics but it works like a charm. Sex bolts , sometimes called binder bolts, were bought from Lowes. I've also seen them at craft stores. Good luck.

You would want to use some triangular stock between the horizontal and vertical stabilizers
