That is definitly one sweet airplane. What engine are you putting in it?

I'm with you Crash90. I'm still working on getting my cowl & gear painted, and have a couple used planes to get more experience before taking mine out. Here's a pic.

You're going to love it. I've been flying mine for about 2 years now. It can be quick when you want it to, but then slow down and take it easy when you need it. It looks great.

Great great bipe.
Mines flies great with an fx .46.
Think I'll have to replace the stock cowl with a fibreglass one tho. Mostly fibreglass tape and ca due to many many cracks.

I'm with you kirknik. I need a new set of glass pants and a cowl. The abs doesn't hold up. Is that a cowl from Stan's you have on yours Mystic6? They have a nice set I am looking into.

Looking good.

I need to get mine back in the air. I had a midair last summer messed up both wings. I have to rebuild both wings and replace the cowl.

Yes, I got both the cowl & wheel pants from Stan's. They were great to deal with. The cowl had a decent sized seam on it which took a bit of sanding to smooth out, but nothing difficult. I did have to cut a lot of the bottom of the cowl to fit around the pitts muffler, but from what I've read here on RCU I'll need the exit space anyway to prevent overheating. I've also put a .46FX in mine.

I've decided not to mount the wheel pants. I was encouraged to put larger wheels on the plane because our field isn't the smoothest, and I don't think they'll fit. Plus I'm sure I'll just break them on one of my patented 3-hop landings.

Looks great guys. I'm not sure on the engine. The agreement i had with my wife when i bought the plane was that I would wait till I crash one of my other planes and use the engine and radio from that. I have a saito 72 and an os .46fx. We shall see. Every now and then my lhs has a yard sale and I can get my engines for 20.00. ( she still falls for it.) Maybe I will stumble across a new saito.
