Default Twisted or warped balsa

I just started putting my first kit together which is a GP extra 300s. After getting the horizontal stab together I noticed the TE balsa is twisted and is causing the right side of the stab to be bowed.[>:] At the moment im sitting weights on it hoping it will flatten out (which I don't think it will but worth a shot). Is there anything that I can do besides rebuilding the entire stab? Thanks in advance for any help.

Soak it down with a 50/50 mix of ammonia and water than put the weights back on it for a few days till it is dry.
