Default Piper Cub

Hey Guys I help Help . I bought a Sig Piper Cub J-3 Kit at a small Model Expo . What I didn't realize , it didn't have the illistrated assembly manual in the box . Till I got Home .
Is there somewhere I can download it from , I have looked on Sig's site , didnt see anything there . Or if someone has the manual they dont need anymore . Anything would be helpfull . this is my second plane building . So , I dont think I could fumble thru . without getting ahead of my self .

Thanks USA_1_INK

not sure of the scale , It has a 71" wingspan , the box says to use a .19 to .35 engine .

That is one of the older SIG kits, You may be able to get the plan a AMA plan service. Mine are all the later planes. Some one may have a set of plans that will chime in and let you no.

Ink,
Try calling SIG. They would probably be able to set you up with a manual for a nominal cost.

This is an excellent kit, however it requires some experience to build. It is an older design, and if you have not previously built at least a couple of kits, put this one aside for a future project. Modern kits have laser cut, computer designed components with highly detailed instructions. Do a couple of those first, then tackle the SIG 1/6th Cub.

It's not the first kit I have build , its the second Sig tho . I'm not a stranger to building , I built and race R/C Boats for 12 yrs . So I have a little expereince in construction . The first plane kit I built was a Sig Kadet Senior. everything turned out great . fly like a dream .

If you built a Cadet Senior you will be fine with the Sig Cub. Building is pretty much the same as the Cadet with a few other techniques thrown in to advance your skills but nothing that can't be done. A good kit but it takes alot more assembly than other kits. Sig should be able to supply you with a manual. I would offer a copy of mine but it is buried in storage..

Would it infringe too many copyright laws if I offered to scan and email a pdf version of the manual to you?

Mine is currently at the covering stage, taking a pause while I finish off a four star 40.

The piper cub is a very satisfying build. Send me a PM if you would like the manual electronically.
