Default scale struts

Hey has anyone ever made their own scale "robostrut" type struts? Is there somewhere I can go to see some or a plan I can get to make them. They seem so simple in design it seems I could make them for my P-47 really cheap. They do not have to be functional. Thanks in advance. Rick

Robart makes them! They are called strut covers, they are not functional and they really are not expensive. I used them on a Great Planes F-14 some time ago and they really look great. If however you are looking for a cheaper alternative to those...I can't help.

Hello gents,

Just curious...how would you go about making a functional set of struts??? Planning a 1/5th Corsair that I want to be super detailed, and this seems like an area that will need attention. Thanks!!
