I have a small sopwith pup, that i am converting over to ic,but the battery/tank location is giving me trouble.
The tank has been located central to cg point, but the battery will not go far enough forward, due to the side mounted engine ,engine bearers, what i need to do is remove the bottom bearer,to allow battery to reach firwall.but how do yo support the the bottom engine bearer, only having a small amount entering the firewall?,i suppose a wedge glued between firewall and bearer would work, but how strong would that be?
Any suggestions

Gord,
That was an idea, but during the day,i have decided,to modify once again, the only real option is to locate a small tank, into the cowl, will make one up,with no aerobatics planned, just an upright clunk tank made to fit beside the engine, this will free up the limited space, were the tank was going to be placed, allowing a straight through path for cg,battery position ,fingers crossed,it should work!!!
