Default "Unglueing" a stabilizer from tail

My Avistar had stabilizer broken during a radio failure last weeks and I'd like to build another. How can I "unglue" it from the tail? Do I have to use a Dremel machine or exists any easier way to "unglue" the epoxy?
Thank you!

I usually cut the whole stab out. The mounting platform and all. Then just build it back up straight and level and there you go.

you can also use your heat gun and get the epoxy to soften up and take it off. It might be tougher on the tail area, but it should work the same as anything else. Try not to burn the wood with the heat gun.

I picked up a Sig Cap 231 wreckage recently. I prepped the tail pieces, (still on the old fuse) by just cutting them out with a hobby knife. I used a razor blade and scrapped some, then used
sand paper, and eventually a dremel. To date it fits like it grew there on the new fuselage.
