Orange and cream! Black pinstriping I hope or maybe apple green. Yea Ultracote! I wanted a way to press the wings together for joining. Blocks were glued to each end of a 6 foot stick and a shim was used to adjust for the perfect length. The wings' weight provides the force.

RE: Astro-Hog Build
A razor saw was used to start the hinge slots, it went so quickly. To hinge the ailerons, strips were glued to a block to hold the aileron in position with the TE raised and to guide the saw blade at the centerline height. To hinge the wings, other strips were stacked to once again guide the saw blade at the centerline height. The notched #11 blade does a good job of cleaning out the slots when pulled backwards and outwards. It was notched with a Dremel composite cut-off wheel.

RE: Astro-Hog Build
I havent posted anything in quite awhile but seeing this Astro Hog thread is great!!! I built mine a few months back and what a sweet flier!!! I love my Hog!! I went with half the dihedral and a trycycle landing gear for grins. It is powered by a great running Saito 80. I used all Monokote in Red metallic and cream color. For the black on the nose I used 000 steel wool on black monokote for the flat black look. I opted to carve my own turtle deck out of Balsa as I could not find paint to match the Red metalic Monokote.I put "Bender" from Futurama as a pilot so the Duck is history now.

What a beauty! I was able to cover the Hog-Bipe headrest with 3 pieces of Ultracote, I'm sure it's the same one as used with the Hog-Bipe.

Here's the Ultracote and Monokote covering, using what was on hand. The tailwheel is my usual, with a spring between rudder and tailwheel steerer. Dubro composite main gear. Thunder Tiger .91 4stroke engine. Balance is looking very good so far. Gotta get it done!

Finally, my Astro Hog took to the air! No trimming, plenty of power, good ground handling, lots of fun! It climbs with high throttle. Take-off run was short. Landing was relaxed and smooth. Thank you, Sig!
