i have a kit that supplied the control rods. on the end of the rod is a horrible cheap clevis that i would like to replace with a sullivan or great planes type.unfortunatly the clevis and hence the theaded rod is metric size. the clevis looks like it would be a 4-40 but it is a metric size very close to that.does anyone know who sells metric size clevises.....sullivan looks like the dont.

Hobby-Lobby has metric hardware.
I'm very careful to keep to seperate "glory boxes" for salvaged hardware from my ARFs vs. kits. As you noted some of the metric sizes "almost" fit the SAE threads.
'Course we can always blame it as a "hit" when the rod seperates from the clevis in mid-air.
