Default Use a little thin CA here?

I have a 1/8" joining rod between the two elevators. Although the rod fits nice and tight now, what about after a few flights? Is anyone wicking some CA in the hole, using epoxy in the hole to keep it tight? Pics below show where the rod goes, neither elevator has had final shaping yet

I always use epoxy for that situation, never had one fail yet

I always epoxy that joint.

I usually groove the leading edge so the rod fits below the surface. I add microballons to the leftover epoxy and fill in the joint so I have a smooth surface on the leading edge.

Another epoxy user. I scuff up the joiner rod with a file or rough sandpaper to give the epoxy some more grip. I use an 1/8" drill bit to groove the leading edge and recess the wire. It usually just takes a few strokes back and forth while holding the bit tightly to keep it from turning.

Good luck

Do like everyone said. You said the hole was nice and snug - I enlarge it and fill the hole with epoxy (30-min) assemble the elevators and now you have a little wiggle room so you can align them perfectly.

Once the epoxy cures, you have an epoxy sleeve surrounding the wire to give it a more solid bed

Just as everybody said above. Epoxy here as this is a crucial joint. Rough up the metal of the wire with sandpaper, and then clean with alcohol before using the epoxy
