Are you asking me? If it is the one that was on Craigslist then yes it was mine. You say it has been through rough times, please give more details and pictures. I have tons of pictures and if you need anything explained let me know. I think you are the 4th owner. I sold her 2 years ago and at that time she was like new.

What a beautiful airplane. I purchased one in PA last Spring and have begun restoration. I hope mine looks half as good as the others posted go this thread. Are there any suggestions regarding servos? This is my first "large" model.

I'm using.... hitch 5645MG servos. I'm pretty sure that's all you need for this bird. I would go with Metal gears. But that's just me. Post some pic's of your build!

I am in the teardown phase right now. I have the engine on a stand awaiting a carb kit. The engine is a Quadra 52 with Zama carb. The wig was covered with Ultracoat, I think but the fuselage was covered with fabric and painted, now cracked a lot. I should know where I am on the engine in a week or so. After that I will begin skinning the airframe. Has anyone figured out a source for the corrugated ABS plastic on the control serfaces? I will begin taking pics once I have it skinned. Thanks, Dave

I called Sig Directed and ask about the plastic. Unfortunatelyt thay do not sale it anymore. So I was forced to build my own scale elevator and rudder.

Great choice for a build. I have one that was built in 1982 and still flying. Started life with a Super Tiger engine and was converted to a G38 in 1990.
Hate to admit it but it has seen a couple of fuselage rebuilds. These kits seem to break in the middle behind the canopy. Other than that great flying airplane. Mine is not for sale and if I have my way it will last until I die. 64 now. Maybe another 30 years or so if I am lucky.

I enjoyed mine. I remember when they first came out around mid 1983 or 1984. I wanted one so bad, but could not afford it. I finally got to build one hence this thread and glad I did. Sure wish they would re-kit this airplane. AMR was supposed to come out with a new kit and posted here in this thread but never came to market with it. My Bravo is now on it's 3rd owner. I tried contacting the guy in Oklahoma but he never responded back. Hope he is enjoying it. The DLE-55 was a monster and takeoff was about 6 foot or less. But the CG was right on with that engine.

The corragated plastic looks just like the material that several full scale manufacturers have used over the years. I haven't been near a full scale Morrisey, but I assume that Sig was faithful to the original in their version of the design. Thank you for the link.

Well, some of you know by now that my Morrisey Bravo is complete. Here's a video of the First Flight!.......She was a pinch tail heavy. but that's all fixed now. just thought I would share.

I noticed on the elevator plan a note about reading the section on balancing before building the stab and fin. Since I don't have the booklet, could someone please tell me what it says about that area.
Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank
