OMG, The snow continues to fall. I just went out to snowblow my driveway and I was just able to get through. Two feet and it's not over. Wind gusting over 50 miles per hour which makes hugh snow drifts to contend with. The snow drifts are past the sill of the window on one side of my house. Though it could have been worse. I could have lost my power... Thank the Lord for that! I will take some photos for you to see when there is some light.
At first glance the first photo may look just like some snow that accumulated on the window's ledge, not! That's the snow level... Second photo shows the patio table and mind you that's the snow the wind didn't blow away! The third shot is of my back door, I can't get out that way.... |
RE: Sig Ryan STA
We have close to 3 feet:<div>http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps053d59e4.jpg</div><div>

RE: Sig Ryan STA
Out "west" the official snowfall was 3", but I cleared 5" from my drive. We only had half the storm, though,. You guys got the full thing.
Good luck to you, and all forum members, who live in the Northeast. |
RE: Sig Ryan STA
Glad to hear you have power,
That storm reminds me of the blizzard of 78 we had here in Ohio. We had a snow drift that went all the way up onto the roof of our house. I was just a kid then and really enjoyed being out of school for 2 weeks and playing with my Alaskan Malamute in the snow:D. Later!! Anthony |
RE: Sig Ryan STA
It's funny, my tractor and my DA-120 powered AJSlick have about the same power and are about the same size. Guess which one I will be using today? <div>https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...83443975_n.jpg</div>

Snow blowers are the way to go on today's snow. Tom I'll bet old orange got a workout! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have mine. I even did my neighbors driveway this morning (at 5:30), the fact that she's a good looking single woman never entered my mind http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif....

Ya, Big Orange has been getting a good workout all Winter, but she hasn't seen anything like what you guys have.
I'm assuming that ghoffman is going flying. All he has to do is rotate his wheel pants and use them as skiis. :D |
RE: Sig Ryan STA
Exactly, I will just do low harriers up and down the driveway to blow it away!

I am obviously not deep enough into this hobby as I don't have any airplanes stored in the garage with my car outside in the snow yet. I need to work faster. :)

Never seen that white stuff in my yard. I have a yellow yard tool, but it is flatter and picks up grass. Here are the conditions I am dealing with! SunDevilPilot |

RE: Sig Ryan STA
Well I just found another reason to hate California.
|
RE: Sig Ryan STA
Well then you must hate Florida as well. Mid 70's and sun, day after day, after day, after day, after day!

RE: Sig Ryan STA
Still love my 4 seasons. Nothing like a beautiful fall day 70 blue sky and brilliant colors, perfect flying weatherhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif

RE: Sig Ryan STA

RE: Sig Ryan STA
Well, Vinnie has seen me fly and he knows I spend more time in knife edge flight than I ever do wings level. So, instead of the John Deere, I used the AJSlick to clear the driveway. I cleaned the cars by hovering over them, then blew the driveway clean with many low harriers. It was kinda mushy looking on the edges, so a few KE passes cleaned it up!<div>http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps39274038.jpg</div><div>http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psbb4cdeb9.jpg</div>
