Thanks for your cumpliments, Pull Pull is Dubro and I really don't remember the overall weight but I'will post it later.
Plane flies really good, has really great climbs and it is so sweet for landings. Center of gravity was kind of confussing for me because I tough that it was tal heavy so I placed the battery in the front hatch but Knife edges tended to go over the canopy so I relocated the battery to the servos tray and now it flies very well and make knife edges with ease.

I got some parts today. Not motor yet:(. I got tailwheel, pull-pull cable, Oracovers and Du-bro switch charging jack (it´s really cool!)[8D]

The black thing beside the second elevator servo is charging jack. It was really hard to fine place for the jack.

Tomorrow in the clubhouse i will take the covering tool (I don´t now the right word) with me, if i get. Then i can cover my Cap.

I added some pictures.

Nice building nipatzu.

I have read somewhere that some pilots have had problems with the rudder in this model.

From your picture, do you believe you have enough wood to hold the rudder horn? Just a thought.

I think same Prgonzales. Rudder area is weak. I think that i add some ply and balsa on the rudder and tailwheel area. Then it is good.

Because the size of the rudder and the amount of stress with the pull-pull movement it is a great idea to add some more balsa to keep it strong. I used a different tail wheel and it absorbs shocks very well I highly recommend it.

Your tailwheel system is great Alfred!

It looks live very professional.

I covered elevator and another aileron today.

The picture tells more than 1000 words...

I brought it out of storage the other day. i built it years ago, but life and other projects got in the way.
I was testing the engine and was having a heck of a time drawing fuel with the
veriuouse type pitt style muff. The modle is built pretty close to plans with the exception
of the tail wheel. A friend did all of the control rod work and electronic mounting for me.
I opt to cover the tail before sheeting the deck.
Yeah i was wondering about the diehedral too, but decided to leave it as is becuase of the
way the wing is built. proper washout. who knows

After seeing that stock muff modification..I think I'm going to try that.

Great covering job!!
I hope you can solve the engine issue so you can fly that beauty.

does the present ailerons allow for the rolling elevator or rolling harrier?

RE: GP Cap 232 40 Size Build Modifications.

I have tried unsuccesfully some of them, maybe it is a matter of skills, maybe ailerons are too short.

nipatzu,

I took some pics of the model I am currently building. See the rudder area. Maybe you can get some ideas for improving your Cap.

Hope it helps,

Pedro

Your tail looks nice Prgonzales. I did a little bit different tail wheel than the original. I used ply and some nylon hardware. I found that nylon part from my "millionbox".

I also covered downside of the wing and rudder with white. See the pictures.

I assembled the motor today. The motor is Os46Ax. I think it is very nice (and expensive for my budget.) Better than La series.

I covered an another halve of the wing yesterday. Covering scheme looks very nice. Luckily it is easy to do.:D

nice job!
Before you finish covering the front near firewall area, you might want to glue small wood blocks for the
(top) two cowl screws to thread into.
The bottom screws can be screwed into ply, but near the top is only balsa.
I had to take my fuel tank out and install a couple blocks because the screws came loose on mine.
It would be easier to do it before covering and tank placement.

I continued Cap today.

The wing is almost fully covered. Only two red stripes anymore. Then I can do a throttle pushrod, some little works and finally cover the fuselage.

I will do an instrument panel, cowling and wheel pants after the maiden flight.

The wing is fully covered, aileron hinges are glued and aileron servos are installed.
The wing is finished now:)

The fuselage is almost ready to cover. A little bit sanding anymore.
I also installed the canopy and throttle pushrod.

I haven´t pics now.

No way, my plane has got 2" full length ailerons and it will do it, but not near as easy as a dedicated 3D plane.

I think that maiden flight will come about one or two weeks

covering looks very nice. Have you assembled your cowl yet?

Thanks guys!!

Cowling isn´t assembled yet. I do it after the first flight. I will use some fiberglass inside the cowl. Then it is durable.

Remember the CG will change when you install the cowl. If you balance with cowl, and then remove it, it will be a tad tail heavy.

I used 3/4 Oz fiberglass cloth to re-inforce the cowl of the model I am building (not a CAP this time). I used PVC cement to glue to FG cloth to the ABS plastic, worked great. At this moment, it is primed and ready for color paint.
