Nexus 30 Clutch
Hello all,
I have a Nexus 30 that I have been flying for quite some time now and recently have had a problem. On my last 2 flights the clutch shoes have broken apart mid-flight. Can anyone please provide some insight as to what the problem may be. Any thoughts, suggestions and opinions will be greatly apprecited.
Thanks

shoes
The clutch liner may be worn down and the shoes might flex to far and this could cause them to break. Also when you put new shoes on put the clutch on a piece of glass so the shoes lay flat then tighten, if they are off a little they will break.

I have the same problem. The lining gets low and the clutch spread farther apart which causes the bolt to break. Get a knife and scrape the rest of the lining out. Sandpaper inside of the bell, then put in new lining. Then sand it a little more to make it smooth inside the bell

Check if you have the last clutch .
The original clutch for the Nexus is out of sale now because of a lots failures .
Now you have to use the clutch for the nexus 46 legato or deluxe . This one is in stainless steel and more strong .
I have this one on my nexus since 2 years and no problem !
