From: Cambria, CA,
I have been flying the stock 120 with Fusion motor for about 6 months. A lot of that time was spent polishing armatures and replacing brushes. Plus I always had a few violent glitches resulting in boomstrikes during each flight. Moving components around didn't resolve this.
This week I installed a Hacker C40-12S motor and 3P-40 Controller, changed to 4-4 pitch, and installed the Voyager landing gear all at once. Today I flew a totally different helicopter. Not a glitch in 7+ minutes, gobs of power, and smooth throttle control. The increase in landing gear height helped keep the canopy crack-free during landing. Now I can't wait to get back out there to repeat. I only wish I had begun with this setup. Brushless setups ain't cheap but the smile factor helps offset that to a degree.
