... or "how I spent my O.T. check"
Getting ready for this weeks Monster Jam where our local clubs get to "demonstrate" our R/C's during the show, I went and spent a ton o' cash on LST upgrades. It would take me half an hour to type out what all was put in so I will let the following pictures tell the tale...

Looks nice. One question though, Do you have a failsafe there? Cant see one. Also, See you didnt reinstall the grommet there for the servo. Id be worried the wire over time would wear thru. Not nit pickin, would hate to see ya loose that nice truck

BigBasheror, I have some Socks from Bad Horsie too, but didn't know how people are putting them on. i have stock shocks, are people tucking ends into part of the shock, are they just cutting them to a nice length. Mines are just kinda there.

Nice truck! When you run that engine, let me know how its power compares to stock. I had a picco in my old savage, but its hard to compare the power if its not in the same truck. Im looking for a little more power.

I like the look of your truck, very nive. let us know about your new engine please.
Tocache : for the sway bar kit I used the lght one in front and rear in mine, works very well but I suppose it depends if you race it or bash it, I just use mine for bashing

Looks very nice Inhave just done exactly the same apart from the engine. Just need a roll cage now and I am leaning towards the RC raven one when they make one or possibly the new era one.

Let us know how those Proline Series 40 23MM wheels hold up to a good bash session.... I'm still trying to decide if I should by the Proline 23MM or go with the XTM gunmetal grey pentos wheels with brt1 tires....

SublimeJason : The HD rails are the same as the original stock but with the "webbing" not removed. More plastic left from the molding proccess. They are a running update to the LST so I think all the newest ones already have them...
Groundforce-RCU : Yep, there is a Dynamite Fail-Safe in the radio box. As for the grommets... I took them off the original chassis plate and they have rolled somewhere that I can't find them. Decided to throw 'er together for the Monster Jam and find some grommets later.
tocache: Light in the front, heavy in the rear.
JaysonR : I just tucked them in the ends. They have a little installation FAQ on thier website that shows that.
ThermalRD : I will let you know as soon as she gets some run time. It's been through 4 tanks of a gentle break-in. A good friend (the guy who painted the body) has one in his MGT and he HATED it for the first gallon... Didn't want to tune, touchy and a lot of headaches. Since then, he's run 6 more gallons though it and loves it to death. Has so much power that a lot of the local racers feel it's too much for them to handle on the track. We will see how the LST handles it
GeneralG40 : I will give a report on the 23mm rims / hubs after this weekend. I have LST # 132 and she's seen a LOT of use / abuse since I got her and I am NOT afraid to beat her up. This truck has taken so much abuse and stuck together that I can't believe it! When I switched to 40 series rims and Bowties out at the local track, I broke a LOT of axles. I mean a LOT! Every run, snap, there goes another one. I think it's the offset combined with the small surface area of the 14mm hexes that stresses them so much. The 40 series rims also tended to warp the center out just by looking at them... These new ones look to be pretty sturdy but we will find out
