Does anyone know where I can purchase spare AA props? I have an AA jet but can't fly because it took an slightly hard landing and broke a prop. Any help will do. Also is the a site that I can buy Havoc heli rotors from? Thanks

No such thing available (spare props) BUT.... Assuming you haven't owned it for 90 days, you can call silverlit's 1-800 # and ask them. They should offer to replace the plane. It could take a long time though as they didn't have anything on the shelf when i call ed them. They promised to ship a replacement bipe to me, probably in April though.

Skypilot, The tailboom is standard. I put some shrink tube over it for a touch of color. It did move the cg a bit, and helped the performance a bit. Tim

Hi, I am interested in the light kit for the aero ace. I am replying to this post of yours
about 6 months late, but I wonder if you have anymore? Also, what is included in
the light kit. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and take care

Brian, you have couple of options. DJstinger has/had some light kits. Megabyte-2 has the diodes and resistors to let you build your own light set. Both setups will require you to solder the lights into the circuit. It's not hard to do but if you are under 18 yo you should have your dad or someone help you.

skypilot, I have yet to find anything that flies as wellace mono mod with a stir stick mod. The green plane has no official air hogs name. The name in Europe is sport flyer. That is what I refer to it as, the acro-jet is the turbo fury. I have also seen it refered to as the kiwi. I'm having issues with mine, poor range and response to controls. Others love the plane.
I'll have to agree. The AA bipe, lower wing removed, with 2 grams of weight on the nose is the best all around micro RTF configuration that I've found. I have not tried the stir stick mod because it flies so well without them. I have not needed to do the turn without throttle mod since I can lose altitude quickly enough without it. Besides, when I attempted the mod, I wrecked a transmitter

kl, if you pay the shipping both ways I'll do the mod for you. Tim
I'd prefer an a channel controller, that is easier to put the all channel sw on. The all channel mod wil cost you $5. I'll do the rest of the mod just for you. Tim

USEDRC, Light kit are $15.00 shipped "USA ONLY", shipping outside the USA is more.
1st pic is lights installed
2nd pic shows hook-up to the battery
3rd one is lights installed and battery moved forward for better CG. Note not all planes need more forward CG...
4th pic lights ON
Fern, what kind of flight times are you getting with your Triton Jr? With all my planes and the 5 batteries for my SL I want to get the most out of them. I need a good balance charger.. By the way I have bought 8 SL batteries over the last 2 months for 7.48 or less ea.

DJ, with a little throttle control 20 minutes is not out of the question. I've had a couple of flights that the air time was closer to 25 minutes. The other end of the equation is that with a full charge the plane is wicked fast, so flying fast can induce you to forget about throttle maintenance. It will also take about 35 minutes to charge. The placement of the charge port also changes the cg a little. I'm rebuilding a jet model and that looks like the hardes one to hang a charge port on.

3D, there are 2 solder points as I recall. Tim

I was at Toys R Us today to get my son a Nintendo Wii and found that there is one more new plane Silverlit has sent over. It is the classic trainer and it is very cool looking. One larg prop in the nose and two small typical props in the normal pusher location. The plane is red white and has yellow decals. The box doesn't say aero ace it has something hawk. I can't rememder
. I took a picture with my phone and can't get the pic to my computer. Plus the photo is to small to read the box[:@][:@][:@]

It's the POWER HAWK I REMEMBER!!! and it's only at Toys R Us so the box says. I think the front prop is unpowered though, just turns for show.

Rico, lipos work with a base value of 3.7v per cell, so a one cell lipo is 3.7v, a 2s(cell) lipo is 7.4, and so on. That is nominal power, a fully charged lipo cell is .5v higher, so 4.2v for a 1s(cell) lipo, 8.4v for a 2s(cell) lipo. The battery is then measured in MilliAmpHours(MaH). If I remember correctly you take the Ma and divide by the discharge rate(C) to get the MaH. So a 100ma battery, like in the Ace, which is rated as a 1.0C becomes a 100 Mah Battery. Check out Cheapbatterypacks.com, I think they have a battery calculator. You also need a way to either time the discharge or an ESC that will shut down at the proper voltage. These are generally sold as lipo friendly.
For your range problem with the 3 channel mod, check your antenna connections. I've done 5, I think, and never had that problem.

P.S any mods for the aero ace jet would good. i already did the one vertical stabilizer mod.

3D, if you have a lipo charger, install a micro deans and charge from your big charger. You'll gain 40% more power and 25% more flight time. Another option is to change the length of the stir stick. By changing the length of the strut you will change the flight characteristics. One thing I have thought about doing, but have not done, is to set up wing struts with springs in the center. That would allow the wing that wants to fly to stretch, and the wing to be pinned in a turn. This is just a theory. Tim

3D, Take the guts out of your jet and put them in your mono for increased speed, the jet motors are longer and have more power. Then take your AA Rx and do the mosfet upgrade to it, then you can install some Super Slick motors and put it in your jet, you will not believe how fast your jet is now.
FERN, can you charge the lipo with your Triton Jr. through the stock charging port? I know the Rx has a cut off built into it but does the Rx have anything to do with charging or is charging all in the Tx. If it's in the Tx couldn't you take the charging plug from a Tx and hook it up to your Triton then just plug it into the stock charging port instead of installing your own charging port.
