Mine (up) is a 13 in span peanut scale rubber model, those should work if you keep it light.

ORIGINAL: brimo
... I did the channel mod... changing it from a crappy B to a Great A frequency
Brimo, not all B channel AA's are crappy. I have 3 B's, all good; 2 C's, both good, and went through 6 A's, only 1 good. In general, I believe you'll find that the A channels give people the most trouble.

It is interesting tha back in the "old days' - about a month ago it was B channel that everyone was high on as the one with the best responce time. I have all three and have found I like them all (if they are not defective).

Yup, channel As are the worst, with Cs right in the middle in quality and Bs are the best...Thats what I heard a while ago, Airhogs might have improved them since then...

If the circuitry is identical for all 3 channels then the problems are likely caused by interference. Does anyone know the exact frequency of each channel?

I think the frequency is the same on all 3 channels, they just go by pulses/second. I think they are C=4, A=5, B=6. So the B channels should respond faster than the C, for example, but it's really hard to notice.

Hey Wecky!

Glad you finally figured out how to post decent sized pics!

I'm not sure you need the thumbnail prog for RCU, I just downsize my pics a bit with B.I.M.P then when you do an image upload within a post, RCU produces the correct sized thumbnail for you in the post, with the option of clicking to get it full sized.

But you probably knew all that anyway!

Cheers

Ayrton

PS my park-flyer fleet including my Channel A X-twin is in my gallery...

here's possibly the heaviest AA i've seen. after folks were talking about having a 3rd channel for an elevator, i thought i'd try the BladeRunner RX i've got sitting around. i put in two 7mm SS motors, a .6 gram actuator for the elevator, and the Mini Rescue BladeRunner lipo. i flew it for about 4 seconds, which happens to be the exact amount of time it takes to realize that you put the left motor on the right, and the right motor on the left, and that right hand turn you just tried to make is actually a hard left, which pile-drives the plane into the ground the crash broke the verticle stabilizer and tore the leads off a motor, but it'll be fixed up for tomarrow.

this thing weighs 25.9 grams, and has tons of thrust, and with those two things, it should be able to take on 15 mph winds or higher.

It's a good plane once you get it trimmed just right.
And chop some....faster than the bipe and takes the wind better.
Doesn't bounce about like the bipe either but landings take a little practice.

sama,
the elevator being only on one side works well actually. i've done it on a few other models, as have others. if both sides of the elevator moved opposite, then yeah they'd work as ailerons, but with only one, it just acts as a normal elevator.

neurotex,
that looks a heck of a lot better than the stock jet! so far the only thing i like about the jet is that i can fly it easily just inches off the ground. that and it glides much better.

Wecky, here is the flyable AeroAce Ferndale Air Force. The monos are planes I refurbed. I have some planes in the hanger awaiting repair. The lime green plane has diodes for night flight. I recently lost a jet from the top of a tree, to a creek or 8+' nettles. Tim
