Hello rt navi man
Contact Hiro of Starcraft [email protected]
he will give you informations.
Also flywilly (from glen allen, VA) of this forum was very interested and contacted Starcraft. I think Will got informations regarding price, shipping, delivery time...
Tomorrow I will send you the differents mail (there are in my office) between Hiro and my friend who ordered this plane to know how to pay and ship the kit. He succeeded in to ship the box in France Europe. so I think it will be easier to ship the box to the US.

Oooh very pretty.

What size is it?

Hello Rendegade
There are 2 kind of Addiction. One is a 110 version and the other is for 140/160 engine.
Wingspan is 1,90 m, Lenght 1,95 m, wide 16 cm. See picture with YS 160 DZ.

Hey RT Navi MAN,
The Addiction kit costs $628 (US dollars). Shipping is $82 (US). Hiro (kit manufacturer) prefers bank wire transfer which costs about $40. So; total for a kit is $750. I ordered one Monday. After drooling over pictures this week-end. Top quality wood kits for a 2 meter pattern ship are pretty rare these days. I'll post here when the kit arrives with my initial reactions from opening the box.
Regards,
Flywilly

Hiro responded to my first inquiry in less than 24 hours. You might want to send another email.

Hi everybody

Would like to know when you receive your kits and comments.
I am also tempted to get one of these kits- love the smell of Balsa

You can also buy it in different phases of assembly. The major components built he'll sell you for 1400 + 200 shipped to the US.

Hi Gerrie,
"39mm derrière l'axe de la clé d'aile" means "39mm ( 1,1/2in) behind the axis of the part which links the wings together"
"209mm du bord d'attaque" means "209mm (8,1/4in) fromthe leading edge"

Why this question?
Regards
Jérôme

I am a South African -bought this plane (Fiesta -AA verson of Partner) from PL in 2004 and only received French instructions ,so I noticed that you are French and needed a translator to make sure about the CG. It is almost finished , painting the fuse is very diffycult- some of the basecoat peels of when I am doing the masking for the next colour -very frustrating.

So maybe the wooden Addiction would paint better or even film covered. I live in a rural area and there is not anybody to help me nearby.

I love building -this is the first Pattern project I tried. They are the most beautifull planesfor me.

Hi Gerrie
Jerome is a friend of mine. I have a Partner with a Yam 160 DZ, very awesome plane.
If you need informations don't hésitate to ask on this forum. Jerome speak english very well and if he don't understand he 'll have to learn english again. It wil be a good practise for him ! Pic of my Partner (13 th in WC 2005 in ST Yan France with Stephane Carrier)
I prefered to paint fuselage. I put film Oracover only on wing and stab.

Very beautifull - did you do the painting yourself? .I was at the WC 2003 Poland and saw the Patners of Stephan,Somenzini and Rochdeau- painting is top qaulity. How do you do the masking for that colour scheme? Do you use a stensil?

I covered my plane with pearl red, pearl goldenyellow and pearl blue. Can you maybe giveme colour codes of the paint that were used,
it is very difficult to get the painting done ,the paint doest stick very well I use Glazurit basecoat, were can I get the pearlred piant code?-any advise!

Hello Gerrie
Steph had 2 Partner. He kept one, this one did WC 2003 in Poland you saw.
I got the second. The second did Europeen Championship in 2004 et WC in 2005.
I don't know exactly the colors. This plane was painted by PLprod and PLprod does not exist. When I paint I use matt painting ( for cars) that I varnish. I use tape specialy for painting like that
http://www.stds.fr/boutique/liste_pr...=lg_fr&num=10I
I determine the limits of design with a paper pencil that I erase with a gum when tape is put.

Hi Gerrie!
Before painting you have to sand with sandpaper and to clean the gelcoat because there are still some wax on the body.
In the case of Partner "clé d'aile" means wingtube.

I just got my Addiction kit and I'm very happy with it. All the wood parts are laser cut; so the fit of each part should be excellent and assembly very easy. The wood quality seems excellent as is the selection of various 'weights' of balsa for appropriate locations. The canopy is very nice. The cowl and belly pan are well made and very light - I think CF as opposed to fiberglass. The kit includes a nice 550cc fuel tank and some other very good hardware. Full size plans, too.
I think it is well worth the price, but definitely a builder's kit. If you enjoy building then you'll be very happy with this kit. The airplane looks very well engineered. I think you can build this at less than 10 lbs finished with ease.
It will be a few months before I start building as I want to finish some projects and clean my workshop so I can do justice to the Addiction.

Hello
A friend of mine ordered the kit Addiction of Starcraft.
It was very easy to order and get it. Parcel leaved Japan on Monday and I received it on Thursday same week (I live in France Europe). As Wil (flywilly) I'm very impressed by the quality of every piece.
It's very easy to build it because the differents pieces are laser cut.
I'm delighted to assemble, glue and smell balsa.
Hiro of starcraft change the look of his site. Also there is an english version of it
