Papaone,
Can you tell me if the engine mount beams are set up for the YS mount?
Thanks

Hello Greg
There is just plywood frame to support engine like showned on this picture. This frame is glue on the carbon engine cowl. It's studied for Yamada mount. So engine mount beams are not delivered in standard.

Hello
Some pics of fuse of Addiction Starcraft. Building is very easy because cutting of wooden pieces are very precise. Exhauts made of carbon, servo tray is delivered in the kit.

Hi
got my Good Shot yesterday ..looking nice .
lots off smal wood to glue!
what i really like was the quality off the laser cutting ..seems to be wery good, also the preshape toop and bottom off fuse makes it easy to fit.
only i found to be a bit sad was some cracks in the back part off the preshape toop off fuse and a bit pinholes in the carbone parts but should not be any problem!
Its years since a build a wing that not is foam, so a bit concern about wrap it in film ...any thoughts someone..the Japanees use thin glasscote and epoxy i think..
the plane will be the home to my new YS 160 DZ and futaba and probably JR servoes!

Hello Rune
Good news.
My Silent, Wild Beat kit MK Kato had wooden wings. No problem to put Oracover or similar.
Balsa sheets of Good Shot or Addiction are in 2 mm and strong (not 1,5 mm like foam wings).
Please would you put pics on this thread.

Hi
i have used some hours today to clean out my workshop a bit so i could get place to start the build off the !QUOT!Good Shot!QUOT!.
not done much but it started, used some time to try to understand the drawings ( found out that my Japanese isn't that good....)but the drawings is very good so if you are used to read technical drawings you should not have any problems if you don't read Jap. as good as me......cant understand a word off it!
there are also 4 drawings as the one off the fuse drawings like this tells more than 1000 Japanese words for me + full size drawings off both fuse wing and stab and one more thing that i haven't seen before one full size drawing that are just with Mr Akiba's color scheme here you off course have all possibility to play with your own schemes!! nice thing!
so ended up with gluing the 2 biggest pieces off fuse sides together thats all !!

Hello Rune
Good news for you. It is thanks to the kit that the workshop is cleaned !!!
Yesterday I prepared to build the wings. A lot of wooden pieces. So not to loose I made some small packages and to recognize them put a sticker with the name of what it is.

Hello Rune
You're right. There are jigs for wing and stab. Links how to build an Addiction, but I think it's similar than Good Shot.
http://f3a.lix.jp/radicon/manufactur...ion/index.html
http://www.starcraft.co.jp/index100.html
At the top of the pic jig is to put under ailerons. At the bottom of the pic jig is to put under the stab.
I never used jig I prefer to put a balsa rod under the ribs.

hi
a bit more today!
you can also see how the engine is planned to be mounted from the manufacturer the ordinary YS mount , but i dont have that on my Ys so have planned to use one Budd Mount and nose ring so need to cut away some off it but after its glued in to the fuse and cowl are fixed, that to be sure the trust lines still are correct

papaone,

What adhesive do you use for the wing? Do you assemble the pieces together and after aligning everything tack the joints with CA?
Please elaborate a little. Thanks

Hello Pmr
Yes I assemble the piece together (very easy because cutting is very accurate). I verifie alignment, especialy the trailng edge and the leading edge.) I glue with CA (cyano).

have done some not much but a smal step each day!
glued the plywood that makes the nose togehter and joined the fuse with almost all the formers with rubberbands!
What really suprice me all the time is the fit off this kit !
and really thinking Addiction or maybe the Super Shot or some other if there are avibile next year!
Whats sucks is that i have to travel again for maybe 5-6 weeks and that stops the project that time!

Hello Rune
Before flying, don't forget to remove rubberbands !
Very good the way you cutted plywood. I' m going to do the same on the Addiction of my friend because he wants to install an electric motor.

looking good Papaone!
It seems that my Good Shot project is gone to stop for some months.
A big powerplant up in northern norway has stopped and I and some colleges is going to rewind it ..lots off work and it will take maybe 4-5 motnh and with only every second weekend home it will take time!
So it seems that i will ending up with mount my new YS in my Twister ...not a bad plane that either .

Hello Rune
Good luck to you. Twister is an excellent pattern. For the Good Shot you have all the time to build it and to get pleasure with.

Hello
Fuse of Addiction is already built. I put carbon underbelly on it to know how it fits. It's very accurate nothing to do or modify.

Will (Flywilly) did you start building of your pattern ?
