well its been some time since i owned a 1/5th scale and as I'm sure most of you have seen the "i did it" thread i thought i would start my build thread. well when i got up not expecting to see anything, my tower order came in before my baja. so here's what i got from them, and i can't believe ow small the super brain 820 is.

that's a slandered size servo on the radio shack charger, thought i would put it out there so you can see the size of the others for comparison.

everything i got for it so far

and my new hand screwdriver, may not seem like a lot but i gotta tell you, little thing has some power.

Well, looks like you got the next 8 hours or so booked. Step 1 get to work man. Step 2 sell Savage to buy more mods.

Oh, here are a few pointers too.
The front lower a-arms have a tendency to stick to the bulkhead due to tight clearance. Use a file and take a small amount of material off of the front and back of the bulkhead so the lower a-arms moves completely free when the hinge pin is in.
Don't do the build in one sitting. I did it and wish I didn't. I worked almost an entire night and actually when it was done I was exhausted and didn't enjoy the build as much as I should have.
Be careful not to pinch the fuel lines when you are routing them from the tank to the engine.
The tuned pipe is NOISY as hell and honestly quite annoying. If you are going to run around homes or neighborhoods, take the small performance hit and keep the stock pipe on.

The baja just may become your #1 RC but the savage makes for a good sidekick.Obviously you didnt waste any time with the build lol. I bet you cant wait to fire it up.
If I can offer any advice, be careful with the stock tires. They wear down really fast on asphalt and other hard surfaces, try to stick to grass and dirt until you get others. From what I hear the hostile MX or mini MX tires are a very good choice and good on all surfaces.

Savages have their places and 5Bs have their places. There are places that are better to run one or the other. You will find the 5B is tough and not as much fun to drive in more confined areas. Also, the 5B is tough to jump and needs a lot of room, a larger ramp and more room on the back end. I bash the nitros and the gassers in different spots.
Also, don't attempts to jump the 5B in anything but grass until you get used to it. It is hard to jump. You have to bury the throttle and stay on it through the jump or it will nose dive. You have to commit to the jump or the thing will nose dive and/or flip.
-SomeGuy- is absolutely right, stock tires will wear quickly or even get torn on the road. Proline Badlands are good too.

ok here;s some video from the bash, and i already broke something, when i was running it my battery went dead and my spektrum built in fail safe did not do its job and went head on into a fence, i broke the clip that holds the front wheel and hex on... no biggie but was scary seeing my new baby take off... i do have another fail safe which s going on... was able to get a few small jumps in and a wheelie.
i'll post the link when the vids are processed.

I'd advise getting a remote killswitch and a 3ch radio or an AMS 2ch failsafe/killswitch,they're a neccessity in a model that can do that much damage if they hit someone....
