Mine is the chief inspector but he only weighs 15 pounds.

He has to smell of everything I pick up or move

If I move the model he has to check it again and if it's OK he gives two upward jerks of his tail.

Eventually he gets content and curls up and sleeps near by.

If I go to the refrigerator for a snack, he has to have one too as well as have a smell/looksee in the refrigerator or pantry.

I've got one too. Painting a wall, building an airplane, making dinner, shaving, showering. She's a beautuful cat. Underfed - NOT. Building a rubber powered P-51?

Good God man. You are not actually going to fly that museum piece are you - the airplane, not the cat.

I don't have a cat but my dog keeps my feet warm while I am building. There is a picture in my build for a GP SuperSportster.

I read in one of the build threads for a GP Giant Scale Extra 330L that one of the guy's assistant's stress tested his canopy. Canopy didn't make it.[] Found out the replacement is $80 bucks. Alf had the right idea, cat soup.

Just a wee bit bigger and the cat can fly the plane.

My hobby room buddy is a Norwegian and he comes around frequently to say hi and see what's up. But he is 16 years old now and gets kind of grumpy from time to time like his old man!

Hey fella's glad to see others have the same type of well trained assistants... Good help is always hard to find... LOL...

jrcaster.... Cat soup... LOL .... many times I've thought the same thing... Or if her paw just happened to get glued to the table away from my work area... LOL just kidding.... I couldn't build without her constant support... Now if I could just teach her to hold down wing sheeting while it dries...Hmmmm..

Ram jet... The P-51 Guillows is just to keep my hands moving... I have another thread started on a HOB P-51 I'll be starting next week.. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8243312/tm.htm

Phatbob02.... Nice Cat looks just like my Miss Kitty.... Now if only my shop looked like yours.... Wanna trade??? HAHAHA..

Keep'em coming guys...

P.S. dogs welcome too!!!!

Miss Kitty looks a bit more rotund than Foreman. I have three more cats but Foreman is the only one that doesn't mind the machines running. He's always with me because he waiting for Spring. He won't go out in the Winter.
He usually sits on my bench and watches me work, but sometimes he'll keep reaching for my hand to pet him while I'm gluing or whatever. I'm constantly making toys to keep him busy. I have an elastic string and nut tied on my drill press table to occupy his time for awhile.

I have a house full of inspectors and one thief in the bunch that will rob me blind of anything he can get ahold of. My wife works for a Vet and she does kitten rescue so if anyone is in need of an inspector or two just let me know.

I assume they're eating, or are they checking your wing construction?

One thing is for sure...none of the inspectors are starving! I'll bet when they're not in the pictured postion, they're paws up snoring!

I have three of them, one is now 20 years old. After I moved here to NV none of them come out to the shop. When I lived in the mountains all three of them would come up to inspect and just hang out with me in that shop, it was my old mobil home and they were all raised in it so they loved to be there. Now that they are city cats they like being in the house and on the couch.

Yeah it was feeding time at the zoo,
My wife has a sign hanging in the living room" If you want the best seat in the house Move The Cat" and isn't that the truth. My shop is off limits to the cats, too many of them like to chew on balsa. Several of them were bottle fed by my wife and they are totally spoiled rotten. Some are handicapped and unadoptable, one was blind at birth and is 5 yrs old now and she is the smartest cat in the house. If you rearrange the furniture she gets pissed

I forgot, I had these guys come by almost every day, I had about 12 of them living around my place. They would come up and put there eyes up to the window to see what I was doing. I also had A Fox that would come up to inspect during the summer, Turkeys too. The Racoons would come into the shop and watch me but they tended to to get into too much trouble. I do miss some of the stuff I had in the mountains.

Teddiepos10, it's scary... we have a cat that looks almost exactly like yours. He doesn't go out in the garage though so he doesn't "help" with any airplane stuff. He does jump up on the desk in front of the computer monitor when I'm online or on the desk behind me twisting his head and purring. I've never really cared for cats but the little guy does grow on you after a while.

My real helper is our 5 month old golden retriever named Piper. She loves to be out working with me. Often she'll stand with her front paws up on the bench and stare at what I am doing. It almost seems like she is genuinely interested. A couple times I've come in the house for something and found her sitting on top of the workbench when I go back out. She also has a habit of grabbing balsa wood from under the bench and running around with it. It's funny to see her with a 36" sheet but it also gets a little expensive.

Here is a picture of me with two of my helpers. I just got up so no smart remarks! The dog is Cocoa and she lays beside me when everyone else is asleep. Alanna (named after me) never slows down enough to want to help, but there is always hope.

Alan, just say NO!! I couldn't help myself.[&o] Mike, when we moved there my wife made a rule, I couldn't shoot anything with a name so even the quail had names. Didn't mater anyway, I don't care for the taste of black tail and you can't shoot does in Ca. anyway. Not many bucks in my area until the rut was on. I did hunt quail several days a week and same with ducks.

Back a fey years ago, My wife and I had a 2BR apartment, and the 2nd BR was my "shop" I was pulling that nasty self sticking covering off an ARF to revcover it. At that same time, we were foster caring for a rabbit from my wife's daycare room. By the time I realized the rabbit was "missing", she had eaten the horizontal stabilizer! BAD BUNNY!
