I am at the final stage of completion of my RV-4 kit - the only thing left is to put a battery and a receiver and balance it!
There seems to be plenty of room inside the fuselage, but I just can think of a good way to position the battery and the receiver so it doesn't look like a mess inside. My other problem is that I can't figure out a good way to run the antenna for the receiver either due to the fact that there a three very long push rods going towards the tail section... Any help would be appreciated - if you have built this kit can you snap a picture and post it?

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt">This was my first build after nearly twelve years away from the hobby and twenty building. I enjoy the plane and it has north of 50 flights on it.O.S. 46 AX, Pitts Muffler, switched over to 2.4 radio after I had flown the plane for awhile. I had added an antenna sleeve that took the antenna out the tail, it is clear colored; you can see it in the photos.Flaps with Go Slo added, does make the radio installation tight and interesting getting balance correct.Plane is Monokoted with fiberglass painted cowl.Added a more scale tail wheel. Plane flies great, is fast, flaps make it a floater on landing. I do routine aerobatics and an occasional snap-roll and spin with the plane.</div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt">Hope this helps… </div>

Thank you, Pitts! This is exactly how I was planning on doing it, but I was not sure if the CG will be affected by the battery being so far back. I'm guessing you haven't had any issues so that's how I will proceed.
My other question is about the pilot figures - what scale is a good fit for this model?!? 1/5th maybe?
p.s. I will post pics once I've completed the model; I am working on odds and ends right now, but unfortunately I managed to f-up the canopy and I am waiting on my LHS to get me a replacement
((( I just called them and they said it might be another week or so, which sucks, because I was hoping to do the maiden this weekend. Oh well...

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt">Devil…yep 1/5th scale pilot, mine is a Great Planes Pilot with a spacer added to get correct height. Good looking plane, she’ll fly great! I mentioned before I changed the tail wheel to look a bit more scale, would be an easy mod for you even at this point if you would like to.Used a Sig scale tail wheel, works great in the grass or pavement; get lots of comments on the tail wheel from RV-“X” owners.</div><div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt">Navy… real good looking plane too, love the RV series very colorful. </div>

Thanks Pitts... I used a stronger tail wheel also but do not have a pic to show. The RV series is nice to look at; I agree. I took a sheet metal/riveting course when I had dreams of building a real one... kids college cost has put that to rest so I enjoy the RC instead. THanks for the pics of your plane; very nice.
